A CATALOG OF RESEARCH INTO THE ANOMALIES OF MARS FROM THE MALIN SPACE SCIENCE SYSTEMS PHOTO RELEASE OF MAY 22, 2000

On May 22, 2000, 25,000 photos of Mars were released to the public. The Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) Image Gallery chronicles one Mars year (687 earth days). These images were acquired by NASA's Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) orbiter from September 1997 through August 1999. These un-processed images are the highest resolution images of Mars ever released to the public. NASA states: 'Many of the pictures have such high resolution that objects on the surface the size of a school bus can been seen.' This presents an unprecedented research opportunity for scientists and the general public alike to study the martian terrain. With only a computer and connection to the internet anyone can view and research these images. Will you be the one to find true 'evidence' of artificial structures on Mars? And what can we learn from these photos about the ancient times of this mysterious planet? Surfing The Apocalypse is providing this section as a service to all researchers and interested parties who wish to share information and research in this on-going project. It is quite possible that information contained in these photos could change not only the way we look at the worlds around us, but the way that we look at ourselves. In some of them, I find obvious evidence of river channels. There are also collections of protruding shapes that suggest artificial construction - buildings. Odd geometric shapes. One "pyramid" appears to be five sided, like the pentagon on a plateau. But most unusual to me is the one that seems to have a tall white obelisk (tower) protruding from the surface. A long thin shadow trails behind it. I will add additional information and images soon. The most striking feature here (to me) is the apparent stepped pyramid.... MONOLITH GRAVEYARD--After looking at the non-map projected GIF, it started to become clear to me that these weren't pyramids; they were triangular, but on closer examination they looked like large monoliths (megaliths) that had been partially buried in the sand just leaving the top corner exposed.
